Question

Hi everyone ! i am pakistani studying in Dalian university.I currently have a valid residence permit till Jan 2010.i want to apply for residence permit for next one year i.e from January 2010 - January 2011 but my passport is getting expire on 1 November 2010. Is it possible, again i get residence permit on this passport. When i go back to Pakistan in coming winter vaccation(feb 2010) make new passport from there and attach it with old one?

You can't get the residence permit from January 2010 to January 2011 because your passport expires on 1 November 2010. Now, please renew your paspsort at Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing as soon as possible, after you get a new paspsort, then you can get the residence permit of the new year on your passport.
