About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

What is the quickest way to get new (L) visas for China, when youre in Thailand?
We only have 11 hours in Bangkok on 1st Jan 2010. Other than that we plan to stay in Koh Samui.
Background:
My family and I have been living and travelling in China for the last 4 months.
My sons have tourist visas for China, but by now they have used 2 entries.
Hence they both needs new visas, when we go to spend christmas and new year in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Please help.
Thanks.

You can't get Chinese visa in Thailand, First, the Chinese embassy in Bangkok is closed on January 1 for the New Year's Day. Second, short-term visitors to Thailand can't apply for Chinese visa in Bangkok.
