About:China Visa Exemption

Hello, I am a Canadian passport holder. I will be transiting through Shanghai for 44 hours with onward travel to Hong Kong. Is the 48 hour visa-free transit in Shanghai for Canadians valid when onward travel is to Hong Kong? Thanks.

It works, although HongKong is part of China.
China mainland, HongKong SAR and Macau SAR adopt different visa systems.
