At Shenzhen Railway Station, you could take a train departing to Shantou at 15:00. It will take you about 8.5 hours on the way.
Alternatively, at the Luohu Bus Station, nearby the railway station, you could catch a bus to Shantou from 07:30 until to 20:00. The journey is about 5 hours.0
