About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I will be traveling to China for one month Mar-April. When is the earliest that I could apply for the visa?

You can apply for the visa in January when is the earlist time, a single entry tourist visa is generally valid for 3 months, so you can not apply for visa too early.
