About:China Transit Visa

Hello, I am a Canadian passport holder, and will be transiting through Shanghai (44 hour stopover) with onward travel to Hong Kong. Is the 48 hour no visa requirement when transiting through Shanghai valid when onward travel is to Hong Kong, or do I need a Chinese visa?

yes, you don't need a Chinese visa for the stopover. You can also go out of the airport and visit Shanghai during this stopover.
