hello, i am coming for a meeting only for a day. i want to extend my stay by a few days. i am really interested in reliving china's cultural heritage in beijing. how much do i need to extend my stay? how expensive is beijing? can i get to see the great wall of china.

You can extend your stay for 3-4 days which is enough for whole Beijing tour. You can visit the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Bird's Nest, Water Cube...as you like.
