About:China Customs Declaration

Hello:

I am visiting China for three weeks very soon as a guest professor, and I will be bringing about 10 bottles of vitamins worth $110 and 09 iwork software $73 - all as gifts. Will I have to declare?

For my personal use, I will be bringing a laptop, digital camera, small video camera, ipod, cellphone and blackberry. Will these be OK? Will I need to declare? Will I have to indicate value of all of these and bring receipts??

Thank you.

If the total cost of your gifts exceed CNY200, you should declare. If not, you don't have to. You shall take the receipts along with you. The rest things are exempt from declaration.
