About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

hi, im planning on heading to hubei in the new year, im planning on staying for a year to study martial arts, the academy has said they will send me an invite, but does that work as a visa? or do i need to apply for a visa also?

An Invitation letter is not a visa, you should apply for a visa to Hubei.
