About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

I'm a French citizen living in Japan and I plan to go to Beijing for one week at the end of december. Do I need a visa ? In this case, what are the document required from the Chinese embassy in Tokyo and how long does it take to be issued ?

Yes, you need a visa. The following documents are required if you apply for tourist visa:
A valid passport with enough blank pages.
one completed visa application form glued with one recent paspsort photo
Chinese hotel reservation certificate and a two-way air ticket.
