About:China Consulate in Houston

I am going on a 3 week tour of China in March and need to get a Visa. I believe I need to use the consulate in Houston Tx.. The site says they will not except a Visa application by mail in one spot, and on another it tells you what to send in with your Visa application. The question is can I apply for a Visa application, and if so what do I have to send exactly? Also Is a cashiers check from a bank an exceptable form of payment. Finally if they do except the application by mail, can I send both my application and my wife's application together along with one check? and do I need to send return postage. Thankyou very much for any help you can give me.

i think you misunderstood the meaning. China Consulate in Houston don't accept mail-in application, but they provide mail-back service.
For the visa fee, the consualte only accept cash or Money Order.

So then you must use a service, unless you are able to get to to consulate in person??
