Hi, I was just offered a teaching position in China. I am an Irish citizen who is currently visiting in Canada. I am wondering if anyone knows if I am able to obtain a Z Visa for China from Canada?? The embassy said I should go back to Ireland which is extremely inconvenient. Is there any chance way of getting it from Canada or is there any other option? Let me know. Thanks!

You can only get the visa in another country different from yours if and only the docuents needed for the application for the Z visa were addressed to the embassy in that country. If not you may have to go deal with it back home as the embassy requested.

If the embassy has said that you should go back to Ireland to apply for work visa, then you should do so. Or you can go to Hong Kong for work visa application.
