About:Chinese Consulate in Lagos

Hello, i applied for an internship with a company in china this is the message they sent to me: "The best way to have this internship is to be in China. I have checked the Chinese goverment policies and laws and regarding the invitation letter (in case we send it to you it will be cancelled at the consulate). My advise for you is to try to obtain a tourist visa L and when you will be in China try to apply for a school or university in order to have a study visa(for a longer period) that will allow you to have the internship position.
I am sorry that I can`t do more about the invitation letter but try to understand that these are the Chinese laws."
Please advice me on what to do.and what are the requirements in applying for a tourist visa?

I guess that the company in China is not big or qualified enough to send an Invitation Letter to aliens, so they give such a advice, but please pay more attention to the company to avoid a trick. You can see the requirements for Business visa on this website http://lagos.chineseconsulate.org/eng/lszj/zgqz/t625001.htm
