I will be travelling w/ my niece to China and flight will be arriving around midnight.This is at Baiyun Airport (CAN)Is it safe to travel on a taxi going to Taicheng town,Taishan where the Overseas Chinese Hotel is.How many kilomtrs are we going to travel, and approx. how much is the fare?I am going to China to visit my Chinese brothers from my fathers first family as well as other relatives.This is in Taishan area.I may be needing also an interpreter.any advise on that also?I can only understand a little bit of Mandarin.Thank You.

The journey will be no less than one hour by taxi. You could hire a cab when you arrive at Guangzhou Airport. Usually, the driver will give you a price other than charging by meter. The fare should be about CNY150~200.
