Normally, the minimum baggage allowance for international flights is stipulated as below: 40kg for each first class fare tickets holders, 30kg for each business class fares ticket holders and 20kg for economic class fare ticket holders. And the hand baggage you can carry on the plane should not exceed 5 Kilograms, and the volume should not exceed 20X40X55 cms. Besides, usually the excess luggage will be charged 1.5% of the full price of one single-trip ticket per kilogram. Since there may be some differences between different airlines, it is better for you to consult the airlines directly about this.

Musical instrument, sports apparatus, medical instrument and other damageable luggages and luggages of large size are not among the lists of carry-on baggages. You need to check your musical instrument as special luggage or check them as cargo. As for the cost, it depends on the airlines' policy and the status of your musical instrument. You can consult your airlines for the details.
