Hi!I am planning a trip down to Taizhou,Jiangsu in the first week of dec. Would appreciate if i could get some advice.Will be flying into shanghai airport on 3rd dec. Am planning to visit customer on 4th Dec, and back to shanghai on the very same day so that i could get a flight out to Singapore on the 5th Dec.1) What is the best way to get to Taizhou from Shanghai? Car or Train or any domestic flight? Please advise cost if you have any information about it. If it is train, will it be bullet train or ?2) Or is it better that i travel directly from shanghai to taizhou upon my arrival if i am reaching around 3pm and stayed the night in Taizhou on the 3rd Dec or safer to stay in shanghai and travel to taizhou the very next day on 4th Dec?

Hi, Ms GLIM, there is no domestic flight to Taizhou for Taizhou do not have airport at all. You can go by train and bus. No bullet train available. There is only one train from Shanghai SOuth Train Station to Tauzhou (whole journey: nearly 6 hours). it is more convenient to go by bus. Shanghai South Bus station and Shanghai Long-distance Bus Terminal all have buses to Taizhou. It takes about 3.5 hours.If you are leaving for Taizhou from Shanghai at Dec 4, you may get there nearly noon and the last bus back to Shanghai is at 15:50 at Taizhou South Bus Station. Is it enough if you should come back the same day. It depends on your time and your plan. It is safe to stay in Taizhou, find a nice hotel. Good Luck!

Dear Glim,You can aslo fly to Beijing first, and then directly fly to Yancheng City, very close to Taizhou,  then by train to taizhou, totally not more than 3hours.
