About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi All,

Anyone know what is the criteria to get a permanent residence visa? We have been traveling and doing volunteer work there for a couple months and love the place. We want to continue doing volunteer work over there. Maybe eventually even start an English school or cafe...

I've been heading out to HK every 90 days to get a new visa.

Thanks in advance!

Safe travels everyone!

It is quite hard to obtain a permanent residence permit.
Those who marry Chinese for at least 5 years and during the 5 continuous years those who have work visas can apply for China Permanent residence permit. It is 10-year long and is renewable.
Those invest a lot can get permament residence permits too.

If later you yourself set up an English school or cafe, you can sponsor yourself with a work visa.

Or you have to use L tourist visas and F business visas.
