About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Hi! I am a holder of Philippine passport expiring on May 2010. I am working in China with a residence permit. I have renewed my passport last week and it will take 6 weeks to get a new one. I am going home to the Philippines on December 11 returning to China on December 14. Will China immigration allow me to leave since my passport is less than the 6 months validity? If China will allow me to board, Philippine immigration will allow me to enter since it is my right as a citizen. However, will Philippine immigration allow me to leave Philippines for China? Appreciate your help. Thank you very much.

I think the China immigration will permit you to leave if you haven't overstayed in China. Generally speaking, if your passport is still valid, you haven't overstay in China and do illege things, you are allowed to exit China. I also think that the Philippines immigration will not prohibit you to leave Philippines for China, but you will face problems when you enter China because your passport valid for less than 6 months.
