About:Marriage Registration in China

Hi,
I am an American in the US married to a Chinese Citizen. I want to apply for a Chinese marriage visa so that I can stay in China with my wife. I have read the information about the process and understand it but how do I satisfy the "Affadavit of Single Status" requirement? I am not single as in the eyes of the US I am married to my wife but I want to be married to her in the eyes of China also.

Mr. Keller, you don't need to make marriage registration in China again, now you should do is that apply for authentication of your marrige license at the Chinese embassy or consulate in USA according to consular districts. After notarization, the marriage license is also recognized in China.
