hiiwould like to know how to get from pingtung(kenting) to hualien?

Question

HiIwould like to know how to get from Pingtung(Kenting) to Hualien?I did get on website of Taiwan Railway and it said the travel will take 8h30m?(that is a lot for about 300km)If i take the Kenting express,i have to change train 2X? and i know i can fly from Kaoshiung to Hualien but because i will come from Taipei,Taichung,Tainan,KaoshingmPingtung(kenting) Hualien then back to Taipei,i dont want to return from Kenting to Kaoshiung again to fly to Hualien!Thanks for any information

Kenting to Hualien: take bus from Kending to  FangLiao station, Pingtung County and take train (4 hours) at Fangliao to Hualian. It will save 2.5 hours than going to Kaoshiung first and then to Hualien. Hope this helps.
