Hi I am Allan from Malaysia. Currently i am in Shanghai holding L visa and i've been appointed by a Shanghai Company. I would like to ask whether can i apply my working visa at the Malaysia Embassy in China? My colleague told me that i must go back to Malaysia to apply the working visa. Is it true?

You will work in China, right? So you should go back to Malaysia to apply for the visa at the China Embassy in Malaysia.
