Is there a direct bus service from Hangzhou airport to Nanjing ? if not, how can I catch a bus from the airport to North Bus Station to catch a long distance bus for Nanjing

There is no direct bus could be used at the airport. So, please take the shuttle bus to Hangzhou Railway Station firstly. Here, you could take a train to Nanjing. If you miss the train, please take the city bus K188 or K95 from the railway station to the North Bus Station for the long-distance bus.

I would prefer to take a bus from Hangzhou to Nanjing since the train ride is much longer than that of a bus. I arrived at Hangzhou Airport at 13.10, pls advise if there is a bus service from the airport to the North Bus Station where I can catch a long distance bus for Najing

No bus is served from the airport to the North Bus Station. So, you have to transfer in downtown, or take a cab at the airport to arrive there directly.

How how I catch a bus in Hangzhou city for the airport after I have arrived at Hangzhou from Nanjing by long-distance bus ?

You could take a bus or cab to Wulinmen or Hangzhou Railway Station to catch the shuttle bus.
