If you will go to China to visit your husband, you can just aks your husband to provide you an invitation letter stamped by the local public security bureau where he is living and enclosed with his vaid address, contacts aswell as copy of residence permit in China.
If you are holding a new passport, please submit your old passport as well when apply for the China visa.
