About:Beijing Great Wall

I am heading to China in MArch 2010 for a business tour of the factories in Shanghai. I wanted to stop in Beijing for the first 2 days to see the sights was thinking the Forbidden city and Tiananmen Square day one and the Great Wall in Mutianyu day 2. From here We would fly to Shanghai. Can you give me an idea if this is possible and if any of the business tours offer extended tourism advice?

Yes, I think your plan is very reasonable. The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square are located near to each other. Besides Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, you can also visit Hutongs and enjoy the local snacks at night if time permits.
