About:Chinese Crew, Resident and Journalist Visa

hello if i have a resident permit can i work in china ?

How do you get the resident permit, I mean you hold waht kind of Chinese visa before you get the residence permit? As I know, only Work visa(Z), Student visa (X), Journalist visa (J-1) can apply for residence permit.
