About:History of China

i would like to know how a chinese was able to become a monarch or a king way back when there were dynasties and stuff like that. i am working on homework and would the the answer to the question as soon as possible. thanx

In the same dynasty, the monarch is selected according to order of succession. It is a formula or algorithm that determines who inherits an office upon the death, resignation, or removal of its current occupant.
When a dynasty falls and another raises up. The highest ruler of the powful dynasty will be the monarch.
