About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Hello!

Have been forwarded these new requirements by a travel agent:

All first time China visa applicant must submit complete requirements as required by the embassy to all first-time travelers.
Duly accomplished application form
Two (2) passport sized photos (MOST RECENT with white background w/o eye glasses)
New and all previous passport/s
Original Employment Certificate
Original Hotel Confirmation
Original E-ticket
Income Tax Return
NBI Clearance
Copy of SSS & Company ID

Are these for real? We, a family of 6, are merely visiting our relatives in Shanghai for the Christmas holidays. Is it really hard to get a visa now?

Thanks in advance for your reply.
