hi, Im entering china for 1 day due to flight times. Do i need to apply for a tourist visa?

You mean you will just transit China? Will you go out of the airport? How many hours will you stay in China?

my flight arrives at 6am and departs at midnight so i wanted to leave the airport and explore china for the day :)
