About:Chinese Embassy in India

Greetings,

I am an Indian national holding a regular Indian Passport.
It would be of great help if you let me know the criteria for applying a for a business category Chine VISA.

Currently I am neither employed nor own a company in India or anywhere. I am taking up a job in China, and awaiting for the Employment License issued by Government of China. My contract in China will commence from 9th of November, but the work VISA will be available much later than November 20th.
Given the circumstances, is it possible for me to apply for a F category visa(Business Visa). What are the criteria for applying for F category visa.
When I checked the information on website of Embassy of People's Republic of China in India I found that the applicant should produce a covering letter from applicant's company or employer addressed to the visa office. But currently I am out of the contract with my previous employer in India and my contract in China commences from November 9th. How should I procede.

Your kind guidance is appreciated.

Raghav

So I think you can apply proof of unemplyment from your local India administration instead of the covering letter from applicants' company or employer.

if you mean China Work visa, you have to prepare the following documents as what listed on the official website of the China Embassy in India:
1. Application form: All applicants should fill in one visa application form appropriately and authentically.
2. Applicant's passport valid for at least six months with at least 2 blank visa pages.
3. One recent passport size photograph.
4. One Passport photocopy.
5. A notice of visa authorization from a duly authorized Chinese organization, namely, Ministries and Commissions of the State Council, the Government of all Provinces, Autonomous Regions, and Municipalities directly under the Central Government, and Foreign Affairs Offices and Bureaus of Economy and Commerce thereunder, and departments and units recognized by the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
6. Alien Employment License issued by the Ministry of Labor & Social Security, Government of China, or Foreign Specialist's License issued by Foreign Specialist Bureau, Government of China.
7. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (which can be downloaded from Chinese Embassy website or collected from Visa Office, Chinese Embassy) issued by doctors from an Indian state hospital.
