About:Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Gorge)

Hi, we're travelling to Yunnan on 8th Dec 09 and planning to staty until the 11th dec. However we want to see the tiger leaping gorge, how best can we arrange this so that we can see the gorge and the sites in kunming? Bus or plane to Lijiang? Please advise. Thank you.

We were there just 2 weeks ago. For such a short time take a early morning flight from Kunming to Lijiang. You can visit the Snow Mountain, the Yak Meadow and Lijiang Old Town, besides the visit to the upper Tiger Leaping Gorge.

An add note: in Kunming only the Stone Forest worst a visit (3-4 hours max, including return travel time from downtown). Flight to Lijiang asap and on return, if you have time, visit the Stone Forest (otherwise skip it).
