About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi from Japan
I'm a Filipino holding passport residing here in Japan and a Permanent Residence here, do I need to get a visa for traveling in shanghai just to visit my friend? If yes how and what is the requirments. Thx in advance!

Yes, you need a visa to Shanghai. However, you may have to apply for the visa in Philippines, since several filipinos have posted here that China Embassy stopped issuing visas to filipinos in a third country, but you can contact the China Embassy in Japan to confirm this.
