Hi,

Can you tell us how we can get to Victoria Peak and Tian Tan Buddha from Panda Hotel through MTR? We would like to experience the way the people travel w/out tour guides and rented vehicles there. We are going to Hongkong this November and your response will be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello, you can walk for about 10 minutes to take the subway from Tsuen Wan station to reach Tsim Sha Tsui. After that, I would suggest you take the Star Ferry to Central so as to get the bus no. 15 or Green colour minibus nearby the Central Ferry Pier.

For the Tian Tan Buddha inside the Po Lin Monastery, which is located in Ngong Ping on Lantau Island in Hong Kong, you can arrive there by the following two means. Take the subway to the Tung Chung Station, and then take the New Lantau Bus No.23 to Ngong Ping. Alternatively, take a ferry at the Central Pier No.6 to Mui Wo on the Lantau Island, and then take the New Lantau Bus No.2 at the Mui Wo Bus Station to Ngong Ping.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I just studied the MTR map in Hongkong through the internet and I noticed that there were a lot of interchanging lines from one train to another. Does Tsuen Wan Line will drop us off from Tsuen Wan Station to the Central, where the Victoria Peak is located? How long does it take us to get there from Panda Hotel? Do we also have to ride cable cars from Tung Chung Station to get to the Tian Tan Buddha? How much will it cost us using the MTR from Panda Hotel to those destinations? I already visited the MTR website, but I am confused regarding the ticket prices.
Thanks,
