hi, i am working here in qatar and i want to visit a french friend in china and i dont know if i have to apply for visa or i just buy my ticket to shanghai, please answer me as soon as possible, thank you so much for collaboration.

you need to apply for a China visa before your departure.

A China L Tourist visa, of course.
