About:China Civil Aviation - Regulations & Security Check

I am flying to China this week, from the UK. As I will be abroad over my birthday, my boyfriend has given me a present to open when I am out there, however it feels like it might contain chocolate. Will this be ok if I put it in my suitcase??
Thanks.

You should not carry anything that is not known to you. ie. anything that you do not know what it is, whether packed by your boyfriend or even your mother or father.
