We are coming to Beijing on the 21st March and would like to do and overnight trip to see the "warriors" I have been told that as March is not a peak month for tourist that I can get train tickets from Beijing to Xian on Z19 without a problem but the retun tickets from Xian to Beijing may be difficult could someone please tell me if it will be difficult for us to get tickets on the day we come to go back (Z20 night train) If soft sleepers are not available are there soft seats on this train? Is there a foreign ticket counter at Xian for us to purchase tickets ?

As we come in at about 8.30am in the morning we don't want to waste our time looking for train tickets, Can we get an Agent to buy our tickets after we come to Beijing on 21st if so how can I arrange this. Please help us we are so looking forward to going to Xian
Thanks a lot

Yes, the line to Beijing is hot. It is not rush time now, you can first get to Beijing railways stations to ask if they sell tickets of other regions. Do you mean you will get back to Beijing at the same day you come to Xian! It is really a rush. Maybe you can considering to stay one night in Xian and ask the hotel to book the ticket for you.
