Hi I'm actually working in china at the moment and my boyfriend is planning on coming out to see me at the end of November.  Theres some confusion over a letter of invitation!  Does he have to have this from me to say hes staying in my apartment or is it ok just to give the address to the embassy??  Also can you get a courier to bring the application to and from the embassy (my boyfriend is in Cork)??

You have to send an invitation letter enclosed with your valid contacts, address and copy of your residence permit in China for your boyfriend to apply for the China visa.

Ok thanks - bit of a problem though seeing as i wont have my residence permit until the week he's coming over! Hmmmmm!!!
