My PRC friend's passport will expire in April next year. Plse tell me when must my friend apply for renewal of his passport. My friend is now working in Singapore.Xie Xie.

You friend can apply for a new passport at China Embassy in Singapore. Please take his/her present passport and its copy, 3 passport photos, one completed Passport application form, Singapore work permit and its copy to the embassy in person, it takes about half a month to get the new passport.
