Thank you for the information regarding the requirements for single entry tourist visa. I am a houseife & so cannot obtain a company or employers letter. Also I have fixed deposits of a large amount in The Bank Of India but do not have large amount in the savings account. Would a letter from the bank or attested Fixed Deposit receipts suffice?

I think a letter from the bank or attested Fixed Deposit receipts suffice will do, but it finally depends on the China embassy.
