Generally, the minimum baggage allowance for international flights is 20 kg for economic class fare ticket holders. As for the baggage you can carry on the plane, usually the total weight should not exceed 5 Kilograms, and the volume should not exceed 20X40X55 cms.

Normally, the excess luggage will be charged 1.5% of the full fare of economy class direct single-trip ticket per kilogram. For China Southern Airlines, the charges for the extra luggage is CNY630($93)/kg on the route from Amsterdam to Guangzhou. Rather expensive! So you would better trim down your luggage to avoid unwanted cost.

Dear Sir, Ms.Breezing is totally right. Normally, the minimum baggage allowance for international flights is 20 kg for each economic class fare ticket. And the total weight of the baggage that you can carry on the plane should not exceed 5 Kilograms, and the volume should not exceed 20X40X55 cms. Thus, if you do not want to pay for the extra luggage, you would better trim down your luggage within the limited amount.

Besides, the fees for the excess luggage will be usually charged at 1.5% of the full fare of economy class direct single-trip ticket per kilogram. For the detailed rules about the extra luggage of Emirates Airlines, you would better contact the airlines directly or go to get some info. by visiting their official website.

Dear, if you have to take them to Guangzhou, you can check your over-weighted luggage by express, air freight, sea freight, or a new and more popular way - Excess Baggage Shipping Service.

thank you all for your information.. i asked emirates and they told me that they charge the excess baggage for 50 euro/kg.. thats rather expensive also but they allow me having with me 37 kgs including the hand baggage.. but i think i am going to be overweight because the samples i will take with me are heavy enough. So, i would like to ask if they are going to be very strict in the airport and about that service(excess baggage shipping service) because i 've never hear about it.. how does it work? and how much will i have to pay? does emirates have this service.. thank you again!!!

I know the Seven Seas Worldwide Ltd. which headquarters in Great Britain provides professional Excess Baggage Shipping Service. You can find more informational on its official website (www.sevenseasworldwide.com). However, it always take 6-8 weeks for shipping from European Union member states to China; I worried there is no enough time for you to do it.
