About:Heilongjiang Travel

My has posted a position in Harbin, unfortunately the company can't provide him family package. May I know whether is Harbin safe for foreigner to work resides? What is the standard leaving in this city? What is the average leaving cost for a family of three in Harbin? Would it be a cost savings to live in Harbin comparitively when we travel four times a year to Harbin? What is the length of journey flying off from KUL / Beijing / Harbin? Is it advisable to bring along younger children to travel this far? How should we prepare our luggages? Is there any immigration restrictions during the entry of customs?

Hi. This is what I know: It take 6 hours and a quarter from KUL to Beijing and 1.5-2 hours from Beijing to Harbin by air. The ticket price is about 1500-2000RMB from KUL to Beijing (round trip is much cheaper), 600-100RMB from Beijing to Harbin. The price varies greatly. You should ask for the current price for ticket agent or airlines. It is safe to live and work in Harbin, the problem for you is the weather there. It is very cold in winter, reaching -19C. Flying four times a year yourself saves money I think. Perhaps, cold weather in winter is a big challenge to young children. As to the cost in Harbin, You need over 2000RMB for one month at least including house rental, transportation and simple eating. Hope it helps some.
