About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

I hold a current valid Australian Passport that expires in 4 years time.
I have visited China many times on a Tourist Visa.
I have been living in Hong Kong for several years and often visit Taiwan, Singapore etc (to comply with HK 90 day Visa) and am now about to sign a Contract with a Chinese Corporation, however, before we sign I need to complete some work that will take me about 6 months to complete (this is UNPAID work and shows my ability - it is also specialized unknown area of work to China Corporation - and so they are nervous to pay). Much of this work needs to be undertaken after interview with future users.
I can continue to get Double entry Tourist Visa in Hong Kong but it is expensive and takes time - they would issue a Multiple Visa IF I held SAR ID or a US Passport.
I do not intend to return to Australia till this project is completed.
I could go on a Toursit Visa and visit the local police with a Company executive but unsure if this is the best way to achieve my Multiple Entry Visa - I am not concerned about the cost but do need to fully comply with the law.
What can I do (1) to obtain a Multiple Entry Permit and (2) where and how should I apply. Many thanks

I'm not sure whether you can apply for a multiple entry visa in Hk, but I don't think it will work to apply for the multiple entry China visa from the Public Security Bureau when you are in China. You can have a try. Good luck!
