Badaling and Mutianyu great walls are the two most famous sections in Beijing. If you are absolutely energetic and willing to do some hiking, Simatai and Jinshanling are more attractive. For Shanghai, you can include the Bund area along Huangpu River, the World Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Yuyuan Garden, Nanjing Road, as well as Xintiandi area. 3 days is enough for you to explore the main sites in Shanghai. It is just a large metropolis city.
