About:China Visa

I have a job offer in China (Guandong) as an engineer and my employer told me that I could bring my husband along with me. After talking to the agent, I was told that I have to go there first and I just have to file a petition for my husband and once my husband is already there, my employer will also hire my husband. I asked the agent how long will it take for me to file a petition for my husband, and I was told that after a few weeks after I have gathered all the necessary documents needed in China, I can already file a petition for my husband in the Philippines. When I asked how long will it take for my husband to process the petition in the Philippines, we were told that it would take only less than a month if he has all the necessary documents. I would like to ask if all the information given to me with regards to the length of processing is true and accurate and if not, what is correct info? I could not decide right now if I should accept the offer since I do not know if this will take long. Please help. Thank you.

Your employer in China will hire your husband, why not apply for a work visa for your husband to China?

I have the same question, as well, but I was told that it's not possible. He doesn't have the same qualification, so they said that they can't.

Your husbands can apply for a work visa based on yours. they don't have to present any work permits frrom Authorized Chinese unit, they just have to submit your marriage certificate when applyinf for the visa.
However, they may not be allowed to work in China with the dependent work visa.

If I got it correctly, my husband can get the dependnt visa but may not be allowed to work eventhough my company wants to hire him or he can get a work visa which is the same as mine. There is no need for me to file a petition for him to be with me in China. Is my understanding correct?

Anyway, thanks for your responses. I really appreciate it.

Your husband can get the dependant residence permit same duration as yours.
However, he can only work legally if any employer sponsor him for the work visa and work permit. Not under dependant visa/permit.
