About:China Visa on Arrival

Hi,
I am french and becaus eof the long holidays in Chian, I wan unable to get a visa before my trip that has been scheduled 5 days before the trip for business visa in order to sign the contract with a factory in Guangzhou.
If I get a letter from the factory, can I get a visa on arrival at Guangzhou airport ?

You also should hold letter(s) or telegram(s) from competent authorities who give the consent for the invited guests to apply for the visa at the designated entry ports. the factory can apply for this letter in Office of Foreign Affairs or Commision of Foreign trade and commece in Guangzhou. Otherwise, you can't get the visa-on-arrival at Guangzhou airport

i'm afraid not. Actually, the embassy will be open on Oct 09, 2009. You can notice your partner in Guangzhou your special situation and ask them to delay the date for signing the contract.
