About:Chinese Consulate in Sydney

I have read in the instructions that you do not accept visa applications by post. We live in Tasmania and you do not have a consulate in Tasmania. How can we get out visa to visit China?

Tasmania is under the consular jurisdiction of Consulate General of China in Melbourne, so you should go to Melbourne to apply for Chinese visa.

Dear Mr Russell
The only way we can get to Melbourne is to fly from Hobart Therefore can we send our application by mail?
Also on the form it asks about the inviter contact. We are only visiting China for three days. Do we put the name of our hotel in this section?
Regards,
Mrs Batten
