I need to know how to get from guangzhou to shanghai by bus. how much is the fare and how long it takes. is it comfortable n fast.

It is not a good idea to go to Shanghai from Guangzhou by bus. It needs more than 20 hours by train and not comfortable. Suggest you go by train if time is not a problem. The ticket fare is about 380RMB for hard sleeper. To be fast, recommend plane, while it is relatively expensive.
