About:Power Plugs / Sockets in China

Some great adapters can be purchased from Sky Mall, Magellan's and TravelSmith. Also, luggage stores such as Samsonite carry good adapters and will look up your country for you.
I brought a universal adapter--it didn't work in China. Also, thankfully brought another one just in case. I have to move it from room to room in my apartment so a word to the wise, bring more than one. Once, in a hurry, I forgot and pluged in a medical piece of equipment. It died within a split second. So it's good to have more than one to remind you because plugging in appliances can be a non-thinking force of habit. The China adapter ranges around $10 US usually. Also, purchase a strip adapter in China and take it with you if you are traveling. Saves on trying to find outlets--some places are sparse with those, and some places have the old outlets that don't work very well.

Hello! So if I have an adaptor to convert 220V to 110/120V and it got 2 prongs, it would be ok in those hotels in China that have the 2 prong plugs right?
