I am visiting shanghai on 11th december. I speak basic chinese and i am wondering what are the do's and don'ts in shanghai. And what are the things to do there. How are the hotels and the price? I would really appreciate if someone could help me.

Well, there are many places to visit in Shanghai. I think you could refer to the list at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shanghai/ Of course, please try the local snacks, very good!And, Shanghai will be somewhat cold in Dec so please take a warm sweater with you. For hotels, you could find many place for accommodation, ranging from 200RMB until to over 1,000RMB per night.
