Hi.  I have a sister who is working as a University Professor in Yan Tai for almost a year now.  I am planning to visit her some time in December and I am wishing to stay there for at least three months.  What type of visa should I get?  I am based here in Abu Dhabi but my working visa was issued in Dubai.  Should I apply for the visa in the Embassy or the Consulate? Please advise.

You should apply for an L visa for visiting family members. Where was your residence permit issued?If it is in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain, you should go to the Chinese embassy.Otherwise, you should go to the consulate to submit your application.
