About:Xiamen City Bus

I was charged cny80 in a taxi from gaoji airport to nanhua lu (off siming lu). I boarded the taxi from the airport at 9pm-ish. Is it a rip-off and is there anywhere to complain?

Yes, I think the fare is incorrect that the distance from the airport to the Nanhua Lu is just about 18kms. So, the cab fare is about 50RMB. Have you received the receipt from the taxi driver? You may find a complaint telephone number on it. However, I think you have to ask for help from people who could communication in Chinese.

thanks jane! yes, i still have the receipt, i think its listed distance was 26kms (first time in china, taken for a longer route maybe?). now i've gotta find a friendly person to lodge the complaint.
